SSG.com is introducing a new delivery service called ‘Star Delivery’ to enhance its delivery competitiveness. As part of the launch, they will hold a special promotion called ‘Star Deal’ from the 27th to commemorate the initiation of this service.
The Star Delivery service, operational from the 27th, guarantees 100% delivery of products on the promised date and is carried out through CJ Logistics’ ‘O-NE’ system. If customers do not receive their products on the designated date, they will automatically be credited with 1,000 SSG money. This service primarily targets lifestyle products such as cosmetics, pet supplies, and living necessities, separate from the existing ‘SSG Weekly Delivery’ and ‘SSG Dawn Delivery’ for fresh products, focusing instead on strengthening delivery competitiveness for general merchandise.
The existing next-day delivery service, ‘SSG 1DAY Delivery,’ will be converted to Star Delivery, available nationwide except for some remote areas. Orders placed by 11 PM will be delivered the next day, and there will be free combined shipping for purchases over 20,000 KRW.
In the future, Star Delivery will expand to products from partner vendors. SSG.com aims to apply Star Delivery to approximately 300,000 items (SKU) by the end of next year. To facilitate customer shopping, SSG.com has established a dedicated section accessible from the main mobile app and website screen. Customers can use search filters to easily find products under Star Delivery, and themed exhibitions and seasonal promotions will be held as well.
SSG.com anticipates that the introduction of Star Delivery will foster co-growth with brand partners. The application of the existing ‘SSG 1DAY Delivery’ service resulted in a 90% monthly increase in related product sales and more than doubled the rate of new customer inflows.
To celebrate the launch of Star Delivery, the ‘Star Deal’ promotion will run from the 27th to the 2nd of next month. During this period, 30 Star Delivery products will be offered at exclusive prices every day, and customers making purchases over 20,000 KRW will receive a 10% basket coupon (up to a 10,000 KRW discount). SSG.com will also conduct a prize event in collaboration with CJ Logistics, offering various prizes through a draw for customers who purchase at least one Star Delivery product during the event period.
