Shinsegae Duty Free Opens ‘Shinsegae Zone’ at Incheon Airport Terminal 2

Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 26th that they have opened an experiential shopping space called “Shinsegae Zone” at Incheon Airport’s Terminal 2, which includes beauty and liquor themed zones.

The newly opened store on the 25th features specialized spaces for makeup and perfume, as well as areas for liquor, tobacco, and food, located on the west and east sides respectively. The “Shinsegae Zone” has been completed as a one-stop shopping space covering a total of 2880㎡ (approximately 871 pyeong).

The beauty store, in particular, enhances shopping convenience by dividing sections into basic cosmetics, makeup, and perfume products.

The specialized makeup and perfume store houses 99 popular domestic and international brands, including niche perfumes, makeup, and basic care specialty brands. Brands exclusively available there include ‘Prada Beauty’, ‘Santa Maria Novella’, ‘Fueguia 1833’, ‘Porte’, and ‘Tocobo’. The space is divided into areas such as the Perfume Atelier, Couture Makeup, and K-Beauty editing space, allowing customers to easily find desired products through sampling and demonstrations.

Noteworthy brands exclusive to Shinsegae Duty Free include ‘Prada Beauty’, making its first entry into Korean duty-free shops and Incheon Airport, offering popular products like perfumes, lipsticks, and lip balms. ‘Fueguia 1833’, entering the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market first at Shinsegae Duty Free, is a brand noted for its limited production of 400 bottles per product, giving each a unique serial number, enhancing its collectible value.

The liquor, tobacco, and food store, with its understated wine-colored exterior, is divided into sections such as the Wine Zone, Cigar Zone, and Food Zone. The Wine Zone is a first in airports, featuring a round gondola setup as a wine specialty corner, allowing customers to purchase high-quality wines at reasonable prices in addition to whiskeys to enjoy at their travel destinations. The setup aims to appeal to liquor enthusiasts, offering exclusive wines like the American ‘Shafer’ and the French Burgundy ‘Mongeard-Mugneret’.

Besides wine, the store targets liquor enthusiasts with whiskey, domestic and international sake, and traditional liquors. Notable spirits preferred by Chinese tourists, such as the top three cognac brands ‘Martell’, ‘Dassai 23’, ‘Moutai’, and ‘Wonsoju’, are available. The food section has been expanded with popular and health-conscious foods like Baf, Orthomol, and Golden Peace for foreigners.

To commemorate the grand opening of Shinsegae Zone at Incheon Airport’s Terminal 2, Shinsegae Duty Free is hosting various events. A “Receipt Tail Promotion” offers additional watch product discount coupons with liquor and tobacco purchases through receipts. Gifts and shopping vouchers are also provided according to brand-specific purchase amounts. Additionally, there is a simultaneous seasonal sale event offering 30-60% off golf wear, eyewear, shoes, and more.

Meanwhile, following their successful bid last year for the 10-year operation right of the departure lounge (DF4·DF2) at Incheon Airport, Shinsegae Duty Free has been gradually opening key stores since January this year. In September, they opened a 2107㎡ (637 pyeong) complex fashion and beauty edit store in the west part of Incheon Airport’s Terminal 2, beginning the full-fledged establishment of the experiential shopping space “Shinsegae Zone,” tailored for individual tourists’ preferences.
