Samsung Electronics announced on the 25th that the ‘Bespoke AI Hybrid’ refrigerator and ‘Bespoke AI Induction Infinite Line,’ which have enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) functions, are receiving positive responses from consumers.
According to Samsung Electronics, the Bespoke AI Hybrid sold 10,000 units within 4 months of its release, and the Bespoke AI Induction Infinite Line sold the same number within 5 months.
Samsung Electronics attributed the popularity to AI functions that make cooking preparation and cooking processes easier and more convenient, as well as energy-saving technology that helps reduce the burden of increasing electricity bills in the summer.
Both products can be linked to SmartThings. By entering the ingredients in the refrigerator into the Food List of SmartThings, users can check recipes, and clicking the ‘Send to Induction’ button connects to the induction cooktop.
The Bespoke AI Hybrid refrigerator features the ‘AI Hybrid Cooling’ function that combines a semiconductor component Partia Tier to reduce monthly energy consumption by up to 30% compared to the lowest grade of energy consumption efficiency standards. The ‘AI Saving Mode’ based on Samsung SmartThings has also been enhanced.
The Bespoke AI Induction Infinite Line has added an ‘AI Boiling Detection’ function that adjusts the firepower automatically when the water is boiling, using an embedded vibration sensor. It also includes the ‘Scan & Cook’ feature, where scanning the barcode of meal kits or convenience foods in the SmartThings app automatically sets the firepower and cooking time according to the menu. A Samsung Electronics official stated, “We will solidify our leading market position by firmly establishing the equation ‘AI=Samsung’ with various AI technologies.”
