Naver Pay compensates for Smart Store payment errors… “Triple fee paid for the same time period”

“Naver Pay announced on the 27th that they have prepared a compensation plan for the payment error that occurred on the 19th.”

“The compensation targets are Smart Store sellers and will be distributed from March 3rd. The amount is three times the average transaction fee for the same day and time over the past 12 weeks before the error occurred on the 19th.”

“The compensation, provided via Naver Pay Biz Wallet, can be withdrawn as cash or used for marketing or advertising expenses. Smart Store sellers will receive the compensation sequentially without any separate application.”

“Naver Pay explained that the payment error was caused by a point and database (DB) error during the update process.”

“They stated, ‘We will strengthen our measures to prevent recurrence through thorough inspections and improvements across the system,’ and sincerely apologized to the customers who experienced inconvenience.”

“Eariler on the 19th, payment errors began occurring at noon and were resolved by around 2:20 PM the same day. Naver Pay also mentioned that they are actively compensating users who have filed complaints after review.”
