LG donates 2 billion KRW for wildfire recovery efforts… Affiliates also participate

“LG Uplus has been operating a charging vehicle to support relief activities in Sancheong County, Gyeongsangnam-do.”

LG announced on the 26th that it donated 2 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea to help residents of areas that suffered significant damage from simultaneous wildfires in Gyeongsang Province.

The donated funds will be used for the recovery of the wildfire-affected areas and support for the displaced residents.

An LG representative stated, “We aim to provide even a small help with the quick recovery of the affected areas so that the residents who lost their homes due to the disaster can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

LG affiliates are also stepping up to help the wildfire victims. LG Electronics is providing home appliances such as air purifiers for temporary shelters and is operating a mobile service center to repair damaged appliances for free.

LG Household & Health Care plans to support the displaced with daily necessities, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash, worth 500 million won. LG Uplus is operating battery charging vehicles and providing temporary Wi-Fi services to support relief activities in Sancheong and Hadong counties in Gyeongsangnam-do, and Uiseong County in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Additionally, they are supporting childcare by providing children’s kits consisting of coloring books and toys, and they are cooperating with the Korea Animal Rights Advocates (KARA) to carry out activities to aid the pets of the displaced.
