The AI cooperative, before the regular general meeting, held its founding meeting last August and received establishment approval from the Korea Federation of SMEs on October 2, completing its registration on December 12 of last year. It became the first AI cooperative in the country, working to enhance the digital transformation and AI competitiveness of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises.

Furthermore, a symposium on AI industry regulations and issues was held, attended by Park Seung-chan, Head of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs, Jeong Eun-hee, Director, and Lee Min-kyung, Director of Policy at the Federation. The AI Business Cooperative will play a leading role in the digital transformation of SMEs in the future.

The cooperative is particularly focused on increasing productivity and improving management efficiency by integrating AI into traditional industries, becoming pioneers in this area. To achieve this, the AI Cooperative will undertake major initiatives such as AI technology development and dissemination, joint purchasing and establishment of shared facilities, governance creation and policy functions, AI education and information provision, AI transition consulting, supporting the adoption of AI technology in existing business cooperatives, and promoting member companies related to AI.

Chairman Choi Eun-soo stated, “Most small and medium-sized enterprises are struggling with how to integrate AI into their business due to a lack of AI specialists,” and expressed commitment to diligently serving as a bridge connecting companies with AI expertise and traditional SMEs.
