Upon detection, an emergency response system was activated to undertake preemptive measures for customer protection, the group announced on the 12th.

According to Kyowon Group, they detected abnormal signs within some internal systems around 8 a.m. on the 10th, prompting immediate network separation and access blocking measures. The company is prioritizing customer information protection, dedicating all efforts to system recovery and security checks.

Kyowon Group stated, “We reported the incident to the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and relevant investigative agencies immediately after recognition, and are collaborating with both these organizations and external professional security firms to accurately analyze the cause and extent of the damage.”

The company is currently verifying whether any personal information has been leaked. Should a leak be confirmed through investigations, customers will be promptly informed in accordance with relevant laws and procedures, and necessary protective measures will be swiftly implemented and supported.
