Doosan Fuel Cell is collaborating with Korea Southern Power to develop technology for building eco-friendly power plants. On the 21st, Doosan Fuel Cell announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding for energy resource flexibility technology cooperation with Korea Southern Power’s Shin Sejong Bitdream Headquarters and Doosan Enerbility.
Through this agreement, they aim to develop a combined heat and power mode (simultaneous heat and electricity) using hydrogen fuel cells with a capacity of up to 40 megawatts (MW) to achieve optimal overall efficiency. They also plan to advance automatic generation control (AGC) operation technology.
In the future, they intend to explore the development of a business model that integrates this technology into the Shin Sejong Bitdream Headquarters combined heat and power plant, which began commercial operation last June, with steam turbines supplied by Doosan Enerbility.
