, “‘Spicy too much’ Samyang Foods’ ‘Buldak Bokkeum Myun,’ which was recalled by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA), will be back on sale in the local market.”,
,
, “According to the industry, DVFA lifted the recall on two of the three ‘Buldak Bokkeum Myun’ products, ‘Hek Buldak Bokkeum Myun 2x Spicy’ and ‘Buldak Bokkeum Tang Myun’, on the 15th local time.”,
,
, ‘On the 11th of last month, DVFA made a recall decision in the local market based on the capsaicin content of the three Buldak Bokkeum Myun products. Following Denmark’s recall, major global media outlets such as BBC, AP News, AFP News, The Washington Post, and The Guardian reported on the issue, attracting global attention.’,
,
, ‘Samyang Foods took action to respond by submitting a rebuttal opinion stating that there were errors in DVFA\’s capsaicin measurement method for Buldak Bokkeum Myun. They explained that they scientifically measured the exact amount of capsaicin and ensured that their products are safe and compliant with food laws in various countries around the world.’,
,
, “The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety also provided support to resolve the situation. Concerns were raised that the recall of the globally popular ‘K-Food’ and ‘K-Ramen’ brands could have negative effects on Korean food. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has been exploring response measures with Samyang Foods since the issue surfaced, and sent an official letter to DVFA on behalf of the Ministry’s director. On the 30th of last month, a field response team composed of officials at the director-general level was dispatched to Denmark. They led a reassessment for Buldak Bokkeum Myun through a face-to-face meeting with DVFA.”,
,
, ‘As a result, on the 15th of the month, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration lifted the recall on two of the three recalled Buldak Bokkeum Myun products. It is about a month since being informed of the recall. The head of the Ministry personally explained the recall lifting to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety through an official letter, and the products were immediately back on sale in the local market.’,
,
, ‘However, the remaining one product, the ‘Hek Buldak Bokkeum Myun 3x Spicy,’ still remains under recall. It is believed that the capsaicin content is still high. A Samyang Foods official stated, “The recall of the 3x spicy Hek Buldak Bokkeum Myun remains in place, and it is considered unlikely that sales will resume.”‘,
