The delivery service cooperative established by 8 major delivery service operators in Korea has launched a monthly insurance product starting today, as announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The monthly deduction insurance product has a structure where the insurance premium is immediately reduced on a monthly basis in the event of no accidents, and the ministry stated that it is 45% cheaper than the existing insurance premium if there are no accidents for a year.
The delivery service cooperative previously introduced an hourly deduction insurance product, and it is currently attracting attention from delivery workers, with around 20,000 people joining within 3 months of its launch.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport stated that providing immediate financial compensation for accident-free performance is expected to help encourage more voluntary safe operations.
