BMW installed 2,000 electric vehicle chargers last year and plans to add 600 more this year.

BMW Korea announced today (the 13th) that they installed a total of 2,125 electric vehicle chargers in Korea by last year through their ‘Charging Next’ project.

‘Charging Next’ is a project launched by BMW Korea in 2023 to build electric vehicle charging infrastructure to meet charging demands.

Through this project, BMW Korea has made the electric vehicle chargers accessible to all EV owners, allowing anyone to charge their vehicles.

Additionally, they introduced the ‘BMW Charging Hub Lounge’, a lounge-style rapid charging station where users can relax during the charging process, and the ‘Plug and Charge (PnC)’, which simplifies the electric vehicle charging procedure.

Since the launch of the i3 in 2014, BMW Korea has established over 200 electric vehicle chargers at official showrooms, service centers, and e-Mart stores. In 2019, they opened the ‘e-Copang Charging Station’ in Jeju, integrating electric vehicle reused batteries with renewable energy generation for the first time.

Last year alone, BMW Korea installed over 1,000 electric vehicle chargers in Korea and plans to add 600 more this year.
