(SEOUL=Yonhap News) By Lee Seung-yeon reported on the 19th that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s Metropolitan Area Transport Commission (MATC) will strengthen guidance channels to resolve users’ inquiries regarding the K-Pass.

MATC has received a total of 28,930 inquiries about the K-Pass.

The main inquiries were related to business details (33.5%) and usage methods and procedures (21.4%).

Therefore, MATC has organized related information to help users easily resolve their inquiries through the K-Pass app and the “Frequently Asked Questions” menu on their website.

They plan to regularly update responses to inquiries to enhance user convenience.

Additionally, MATC, in collaboration with the Korea Transport Safety Authority, will operate a K-Pass promotion booth at Seoul Station from the 22nd to the 24th to conduct offline guidance activities.

The promotion booth is designed with the slogan “Pass your transportation worries with K-Pass” and three “worry-pass gates” to help the public understand K-Pass.

To actively reflect the opinions of young people, a “Ministry of Land and Transport 2030 Advisory Committee” led by young advisors was involved in planning and operating the promotion booth.

As of now, K-Pass, which was launched on the 1st of this month, has attracted around 1.2 million users, including 850,000 existing users of discounted transportation cards and 350,000 new subscribers.

Kang Hee-eop, the head of MATC, stated, “K-Pass is becoming a representative people-centered transportation policy in Korea,” and said, “We will respond promptly to users’ inquiries to make it even more convenient for them to use K-Pass.”
