15% Increase from This Year, Investing 27.2 Billion KRW

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 27th that it would invest 27.2 billion KRW next year to promote the ‘Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project.’ The city plans to recruit 5,964 participants from December 2 to 6.
The project budget is 15% larger than this year’s.
The recruitment by type includes △Senior Public Work Program with 3,483 participants (30 hours per month, 290,000 KRW payment) △Senior Capability Utilization Program with 1,626 participants (60 hours per month, 634,000 KRW payment) △Community Projects with 625 participants (subject to employment contract) △Job Referral Program with 230 participants (subject to employment contract).
The target for the Senior Public Work Program includes basic pension recipients or occupational pension recipients who meet the criteria set by the Minister of Health and Welfare, residing in Yongin and aged 65 or older.
The Senior Capability Utilization Program accepts participants aged 65 and above (some types accept those 60 and above), and for Community Projects and Employment Support (Job Referral Program), those aged 60 and above can participate.
Applicants who are recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, enrolled in employee health insurance, have long-term care insurance grades, or are involved in other institutional job projects are restricted from applying.
To participate, applicants must visit one of the senior job executing organizations such as △Yongin Senior Club △Korea Senior Citizens Association branches in 3 districts △Cheoin, Giheung, Suji Senior Welfare Centers △Comprehensive Social Welfare Centers △New Deal Social Cooperative △Yongin Social Welfare Council and submit required documents such as ID and resident registration certificate.
Online applications are also possible through ‘Senior Job Here’ and ‘Bokjiro’ platforms, but supporting documents must be submitted to the relevant institution in person after applying online.
The city will individually notify selected participants in order of high scores based on various selection criteria such as income level, activity capacity, and experience.
