Gyeonggi Province’s Yangju City will conduct the “2025 Population and Housing Census” from October 22nd, starting with internet and telephone surveys, until November 18th.
The Population and Housing Census is a national statistical survey based on the previous year’s household and housing baseline survey data. It is a large-scale survey that allows for understanding the total number of population, households, and housing, as well as the structure, distribution, and individual characteristics of the population. This data is used as important foundational material for the establishment and evaluation of various national policies.
For this survey, 20% of sample households, including both Koreans and foreigners residing at the reference point, will be selected and 42 items will be surveyed.
From October 22nd to 31st, citizens can voluntarily participate in the non-face-to-face survey via the internet and telephone. For those who do not participate within this period, field surveys will be conducted from November 1st to 18th by surveyors using tablet PCs.
Additionally, non-face-to-face surveys through the internet and call centers will continue to be conducted.
A city official stated, “Accurate statistics serve as foundational data for designing a brighter future for the region. We ask for active participation from citizens, as early participation in the non-face-to-face survey by respondents greatly helps improve the survey’s progress rate.”
