Seoul City’s Civil Affairs Investigation Department announced that they caught two individuals on charges of selling high-grade counterfeit items, such as bags and wallets bearing luxury brand logos, on a large scale and referred them to the prosecution on the 16th.
It was investigated that they conspired with tour guides to pre-arrange the visiting dates of foreign tourist groups and prepared the counterfeit items in advance to generate large sales.

Seoul City stated that the estimated genuine value of the 1,600 seized counterfeit items is approximately 7.2 billion won, marking the largest scale in the history of counterfeit goods investigations in Seoul.
