This year’s bar exam pass rate is 52%… 1,744 people passed.

[Seoul Economy] This year’s 14th Bar Exam saw a total of 1,744 candidates pass, resulting in a pass rate of 52%.

The Ministry of Justice announced on the 24th that this decision was made considering opinions from the Bar Exam Management Committee, the Supreme Court, the Korean Bar Association, the Law School Association, and the original purpose of introducing law schools.

This year’s Bar Exam was conducted from January 14th to 18th. The number of successful candidates decreased by one compared to the 1,745 who passed last year’s 13th exam. In the 12th exam, 1,725 out of 3,255 candidates passed.

The pass rate for this year’s Bar Exam is 52% of the total 3,336 candidates, a slight decrease compared to last year’s 53% out of 3,290 candidates. Compared to the total admission quota of 2,000, the pass rate is 87%, and the final cumulative pass rate for candidates who used all five attempts over five years after graduation is recorded at 88%.

Detailed statistical data, including the grading results, will be published on the Ministry of Justice’s website next month.
