Seoul City Implements Special Transportation Measures for Lunar New Year Holiday… Extended Subway and Bus Operations

The Seoul city government announced today (21st) that it will implement special transportation measures to facilitate travel during the Lunar New Year holiday.

On the 29th and 30th, the subway’s last train will be extended to 2 a.m. the following day, and 120 city bus routes passing through three city terminals and five train stations in Seoul will also extend their operation until 2 a.m.

The 14 late-night “Owl Buses” will operate as usual during the holiday.

Four city bus routes (Nos. 201, 262, 270, 774) that pass through the municipal cemeteries in Manguri, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, and Yongmi-ri, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, will increase their number of runs to 46 times daily on the day of and the day after the Lunar New Year.

From the 27th until the last day of the holiday on the 30th, the operating hours of the Gyeongbu Expressway bus-only lane (Hannam Bridge southern end~Sintanjin IC) will be extended from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. the next day.
