Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced today (31st) that it will receive disaster basic income and daily recovery support fund applications from residents affected by an Air Force fighter jet accidental bombing incident from April 1st to the 15th.
The support funds consist of 500,000 KRW as disaster basic income provided by Pocheon City and 1,000,000 KRW as daily recovery support fund from Gyeonggi Province.
Eligible applicants can receive both support funds.
If you have already received the 1,000,000 KRW disaster basic income from Pocheon City, you cannot apply again; however, the 1,000,000 KRW daily recovery support fund from Gyeonggi Province can be received regardless of whether you have received previous support funds.
Previously, Pocheon City provided 1,000,000 KRW to residents who faced direct physical or economic damage due to the accidental bombing.
The current 500,000 KRW disaster basic income is available to residents registered in Idong-myeon, Pocheon City before the 6th until the announcement date, or those who were registered in Idong-myeon on the accident day but have since moved to another town within Pocheon City as of the announcement date.
The 1,000,000 KRW daily recovery support fund from Gyeonggi Province requires residency in Idong-myeon on the day of the accident and continued residence in Gyeonggi Province until the announcement date.
Both foreign residents registered and overseas Koreans are eligible for the support funds.
Applications can be made even on weekends.
From April 1st to 7th, applications will be accepted at Idong Small Library, Dopyeong-ri Doridol Cultural Exchange Center, Yeongok 1-ri Village Hall, Nogok 1-ri Village Hall, and Nogok 2-ri Village Hall.
From April 8th to 15th, submissions can be made only at Idong Small Library.
The support funds will be deposited into the account under the applicant’s name once they are confirmed as eligible.
Family units can apply in batches, and even for proxy applications, funds will only be deposited into the account under the applicant’s name.
