Okcheon and Yeongdong County received the highest rating for fulfilling promises made by group leaders.

“\n(Okcheon and Yeongdong=Yonhap News) Reporter Park Byung-gi = Okcheon County and Yeongdong County in Chungbuk Province announced on the 13th that they received the highest ‘SA grade’ in the ‘2024 Nationwide Evaluation of Implementation and Disclosure of Promises by Local Government Heads’ organized by the Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters.

This evaluation examined promises fulfillment, annual goals, communication with residents, web communication, and alignment in five areas for a total of 229 cities and counties nationwide.

Okcheon County completed 24 out of 80 promises, while Yeongdong County finished 23 out of 60 promises. Their promise fulfillment rates of 61.67% for Okcheon County and 56.17% for Yeongdong County significantly exceed the national average of 34.26%.

Okcheon County Mayor Hwang Gyu-cheol said, “Thanks to the support of our residents, we are implementing promises smoothly without any obstacles.” Yeongdong County Mayor Jung Young-cheol vowed, “We will not be satisfied with this evaluation and will definitely complete all promises within our term.”
