Lawyer for Tzuyang Gonggal requested an arrest warrant… Arrest warrant also requested for Karakulia on charges of ‘aiding and abetting’

Tsuyang, a YouTuber with over 10 million subscribers, has filed for an arrest warrant against a lawyer who is accused of threatening and extorting money from her. According to reports on the 30th, the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office filed for a pre-trial detention warrant for lawyer Choi on charges of extortion, aiding in the crime of intimidation against Tsuyang, and coercion against Tsuyang’s former boyfriend, A. Tsuyang claimed that she signed a settlement agreement with Choi out of fear of retaliation and paid 23 million won, and recently filed a complaint against Choi with the prosecution. Last year, the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office arrested YouTuber Gujeok and fortune teller Jukjakambyul for extorting 55 million won from Tsuyang under the condition of not disclosing her past with A.

Furthermore, the prosecution also sought a pre-trial detention warrant for YouTuber Karakulya, who is accused of aiding in the intimidation crime committed by Gujeok against Tsuyang, and for allegedly extorting 52 million won from another Internet broadcaster, BJ B, in collaboration with Gujeok. Prosecutor General Lee Won-seok instructed Suwon District Prosecutor General Kim Yoo-cheol to take strict measures against cyber-leakers who spread malicious content that incites hatred and dishonors celebrities and ordinary people for profit. The schedule for the pre-trial examination before arrest of these suspects will be determined soon.

On another note, the Ansan Sangnok Police Station revealed that they received a report on the 30th from citizen A requesting an investigation into Tsuyang, her legal representative from the Tae Yeon Law Firm, Lawyer Kim Tae-yeon, and others for allegations of slander and defamation. The report allegedly claimed that there were certain inaccuracies in Tsuyang’s recent broadcasts regarding the intention to sue cyber-leaker YouTubers. The case has been transferred to a police station in Seoul for investigation, taking into account the residence of the accused. A police official stated that they will conduct an investigation into the report against Tsuyang and consider transferring it to another police station, as done in previous cases.
