Some of the Vietnamese group tourists who visited Jeju on a visa-free (no-visa) entry did not board their return flight.

According to the Jeju Immigration and Foreigner Office and Jeju Tourism Organization on the 3rd, out of the 80 or so Vietnamese who entered Jeju from Nha Trang, Vietnam, on a Vietjet Air charter flight on the 14th of last month, 38 did not board their flight back home.

These Vietnamese tourists were last contacted at a tourist site on the 17th of last month before their return flight, after which they suddenly cut off communication and disappeared.

The period they are allowed to stay in Jeju without a visa is 30 days; after the 14th, they will be classified as illegal residents.
