GH to supply 450 units of ‘specialized·non-residential remodeling’ housing for purchase and lease

The Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) is supplying 450 units of specialized purchase-rental housing and non-housing remodeling purchase-rental housing. The specialized purchase-rental housing project involves acquiring newly constructed homes with various themes for young people, such as supporting independent living for people with disabilities and supporting youth startups. The non-housing remodeling purchase-rental housing project involves converting non-residential properties like hotels, shops, and offices in downtown areas into housing for young people. GH plans to provide high-quality rental housing through private acquisition agreements and offer various community welfare services for residents and local communities.

GH will supply a total of 450 units, including 250 units for the specialized purchase-rental housing project and 200 units for the non-housing remodeling purchase-rental housing project. After completing the acquisition of rental housing and retail spaces, GH will outsource the operational management to social economy entities to provide various lifestyle programs for residents and local communities.

In an effort to address housing inequality among non-apartment residents, GH is promoting a village-style community welfare project that provides necessary space services for pedestrian-friendly living areas. As part of this initiative, GH has announced the supply of youth-oriented rental housing and specialized housing in collaboration with the local community.

GH will accept applications for the specialized purchase-rental housing and non-housing remodeling purchase-rental housing projects at the company’s headquarters from July 1st to 31st. Subsequently, they will evaluate factors such as location conditions, project plans, and rental operation management plans to select the final agreed-upon purchase-rental housing units.

GH President Kim Se-young stated, “We will continue our efforts to create a better residential community by providing customized housing for residents and creating anchor facilities for community welfare, thereby enhancing the living environment and residency of Gyeonggi residents and providing more opportunities for the residents.”
