Fire at Ulsan Onsan Industrial Complex Tank Terminal… Flames and smoke rise into the sky

At around 11:15 AM on the 10th, an explosion and fire occurred at the United Terminal Korea tank terminal in Onsan-eup, Ulju County, Ulsan, prompting the fire department to launch an emergency firefighting operation.

The fire reportedly originated from a tank storing liquid cargo.

As the fire broke out, the fire department made an urgent dispatch to extinguish the blaze and to prevent it from spreading to nearby tanks.

It is reported that the fire resulted from an explosion during work. Following the incident, dark smoke and flames were seen rising into the sky.

One worker was injured and transported to the hospital, and another worker’s whereabouts are unknown.

United Terminal Korea, where the fire occurred, operates a comprehensive liquid cargo terminal, handling the loading, receiving, storing, and shipping of liquid cargo.
