According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Women’s Safety Division on the 31st, they conducted a third interview with the accuser A on the 30th to gather further evidence.

A filed a complaint against Jang, accusing him of quasi-rape resulting in injury, alleging that he sexually assaulted her on November 17, 2015, at a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, when he was the Vice President of a university in Busan.

The police have secured a memo written by A in 2022 detailing the circumstances of the alleged sexual assault. The memo reportedly includes details about how A sought help from a sexual assault counseling center and claimed that Jang gave her an envelope of money.

It is also reported that A provided the police with text messages sent by Jang at the time of the incident.

Jang appeared at the police on the 28th as a suspect to undergo questioning but reportedly denied the allegations.
