**Recognized for Contribution to Local Community**
“As part of our commitment as a corporate citizen,” EcoPro announced on the 28th that it has been selected as a company recognized for its contribution to the local community for the sixth consecutive year and has received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.
The Local Community Contribution Recognition Program is an evaluation organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare. It discovers and acknowledges the efforts of companies and institutions that engage in local community contribution activities in partnership with non-profit organizations.

EcoPro’s efforts have been recognized for its collaborations with social welfare organizations such as Community Chest of Korea, Korean Red Cross, Good Neighbors, Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, as well as local governments and public institutions in Chungcheongbuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Cheongju, and Pohang.
EcoPro also has its headquarters in Ochang, Chungbuk, and has established a large-scale secondary battery material production base in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, contributing to the region’s balanced development. On November 7th, it was selected as an exemplary case company for regional balanced development by the Local Era Committee and received a special merit award.
A company representative stated, “EcoPro, which has grown into a large corporation based in the local region, will continue to carry out various activities to contribute to the local community as part of our role as a ‘corporate citizen’.”
