(Jeongseon=News1) Reporter Shin Kwan-ho reports that Jeongseon County confirmed on the 31st that a private company, which was contracted to organize a workshop in Seoul for Jeongseon County Office employees, has settled a ‘no-show’ controversy with the restaurant involved.

Previously, JTBC’s current affairs program ‘Incident Chief’ aired that ‘Restaurant owner A claimed to have received a reservation for a group of 40 Jeongseon County Office employees but faced a no-show.’ It was reported that A shared the same information through a self-employed business community.

According to Jeongseon County’s investigation, around 40 county office employees were scheduled to attend a 2-day workshop in Seoul from the 28th to the 29th, and this workshop’s itinerary was managed by a contracted private company.

The county believes that the no-show incident at A’s restaurant occurred due to an error while arranging dinner for the county employees by the agency. A county official explained, “It seems there was an overlap issue when the private agency was making the reservation for the restaurant.”

As a result, A confronted the private company and eventually the county office regarding the no-show damages, leading to public awareness of the ongoing process to determine accountability and reach a settlement.

A county official stated, “I understand that the private company and the restaurant resolved the issue through mutual agreement by the afternoon of the 30th.”
