A butcher was caught by the police after pulling out a weapon following a parking dispute.
The Seoul Seongdong Police Station announced that they have booked a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of special threats and are currently investigating the matter.
Mr. A is accused of threatening Mr. B with a butchering tool used in his shop during an argument over parking outside his butcher shop in Seongdong District around 3 PM on the 15th.
During the incident, Mr. A reportedly got angry and committed the act after hearing derogatory remarks about his profession from Mr. B while demanding him to move his car.
The police arrested Mr. A at the scene and applied for an arrest warrant, but the prosecution rejected it, noting that the suspect admitted to the charges and has a stable residence.
The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the case without detaining Mr. A.
