A police officer was found dead with a gunshot wound in a patrol car parked in front of a police station.
According to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency on the 3rd, an officer identified as A (45) was discovered by colleagues in a patrol car parked outside a police station affiliated with the Gumi Police Station in Gyeongbuk at around 8:50 a.m. The officer had suffered a gunshot wound.
It is believed that Officer A took his own life with his service firearm. No criminal involvement was detected at the scene.
A police official stated, “There is no evidence of foul play or criminal activity, but we are investigating the detailed circumstances of the death.”
