A man in his 50s was apprehended by the police for stabbing his wife with a weapon after she caused a disturbance with a baseball bat at the house of his mistress. The Cheongju Cheongwon Police Station in Chungbuk revealed on the 7th that they have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A on charges of attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing his wife, Mrs. B, who is also in her 50s, with a weapon at around 9:50 AM the previous day in a villa parking lot located in Naesu-eup, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju City.
Mrs. B, enraged by her husband’s affair, went to the house of his mistress, Mrs. C, who is in her 40s, and caused a commotion by threatening with a baseball bat.
It is reported that Mr. A committed the crime after Mrs. B, who was followed by her husband, swung the baseball bat at him as well.
Mr. A reportedly told the police, “I did it in a fit of rage when my wife assaulted me with a blunt object.”
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident, including examining Mr. A’s intent to kill.
