Elementary school parents revealed that their first-grade daughter was demanded to send lewd photos, including nude photos, by a fifth-grade boy who attends the same school and taekwondo gym. This story has sparked public outrage online.

On the online community ‘Bobaedream,’ a post titled “Sexual Harassment Level of a Fifth Grader on a First Grader” was posted on the 19th. The author, presumably the father, shared a KakaoTalk message sent by a fifth-grade boy to his first-grade daughter, stating, “I’m really angry, but I’ll just post the KakaoTalk captures. Seeking advice on what actions to take next.”

Further details from the KakaoTalk conversation show the sender, identified as ‘oppa’ (older brother), asking, “Can you send me a nude photo?” Upon being asked what a nude photo was, the sender replied, “Sorry, I sent it by mistake.”

In the conversation, it was confirmed that the sender, who was identified as the perpetrator, also sent a photo of his genitals. Although the message has been deleted, the recipient asked, “What is this?” to which the sender replied, “I sent what I should send to a friend.” The recipient then stated, “You sent a photo of genitals,” to which the sender responded by asking, “Do you dislike seeing male genitals?”

Furthermore, in the conversation, the sender asked the recipient, “Want to ‘스○’?” which is a slang term for sexual intercourse. When questioned about the meaning, the sender replied, “Think of it as kissing. Something similar.”

The parents stated that after posting the message, they went to the school with their daughter to write an initial statement. They explained that their daughter made a mistake (such as urinating) while watching TV in plain clothes. During the statement writing process, they recalled some memories and seemed shocked. They plan to meet with educational authorities soon.

According to the parents, the accused individual, referred to as ‘A,’ attends the same elementary school and taekwondo gym as their daughter. The mother of the victim recently wrote on an internet forum, expressing anger, “There is an older brother at the taekwondo gym who plays nicely with my daughter and talks about dating, but I never imagined he would send such KakaoTalk messages.” She also mentioned, “I spoke with ‘A’s mother, but I am not satisfied with just receiving an apology. Currently, ‘A’ is not allowed to come to the gym.”

Reactions on the online community included comments like “School violence needs to be addressed, and psychological counseling is necessary for the daughter,” “Raising a child is so frightening,” and “The content is shocking.” Comments on the Bobaedream Instagram where the content was posted included reactions like “I thought it was an exchange between adults. It’s shocking that it involves elementary students,” “We need to eliminate the ‘juvenile law’ that prevents criminal prosecution,” and “So ‘스○’ means that.”
