In Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, a victim who was injured by a former lover wielding a weapon at a factory has died two days after the incident, and the suspect has been arrested.
The Yangju Police Station announced that the victim passed away yesterday while receiving treatment at a hospital around 1 p.m. the day before yesterday (12th), prompting a change in the suspicion from attempted murder to murder, leading to the arrest of a man in his 40s identified as A.
A is accused of fatally attacking a female employee with a weapon at a fire door manufacturing factory in Samsung-dong, Yangju, around 5 p.m. on the 10th.
A and the victim were former colleagues and ex-lovers, and it was confirmed that they had both quit their jobs at the factory where they used to work together around last year.
A told the police that he harbored resentment towards the victim during their breakup.
