A fire broke out at an automobile parts manufacturing plant in Jang-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, around 9:10 PM yesterday (14th). The fire department issued a Level 1 response and extinguished the fire within five hours. At the time of the fire, there were 20 employees present, but all evacuated safely, resulting in no casualties. An “unmanned destroyer sprinkler truck” was deployed in the firefighting efforts. This vehicle is equipped with a device in front of the water sprinkler that can break through 4mm thick steel plates and 16cm of concrete to extinguish fires. The police and fire department have obtained statements indicating that sparks flew during a coating operation, and they are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
