“Russia: ‘Zelensky Not Invited to Putin-Trump Meeting’… Advance of 17 km in Three Days”

TASS Agency: “The U.S. doesn’t want a positive outcome to be disrupted”
Possibility of demanding Donetsk region for ‘land swap’ condition

A Russian media report has emerged that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not be participating in the upcoming summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the 15th in Alaska. As the summit approaches, Russian forces have begun accelerating their advance towards Ukrainian territories.

On the 12th (local time), TASS News Agency, citing multiple sources, reported that President Zelensky is unlikely to attend the U.S.-Russia summit in Alaska. One source mentioned, “He is unlikely to be invited.” Another source added, “The U.S. does not wish to disrupt the potential positive results from the meeting between President Putin and President Trump.”

Presidents Trump and Putin are scheduled to focus on discussions about ending the war in Ukraine during their meeting on the 15th in Alaska. President Trump previously mentioned to the press that he plans to meet President Putin first and then work on a meeting between Presidents Zelensky and Putin, or possibly a three-party meeting including himself.

Meanwhile, according to Reuters, AFP, and The New York Times (NYT), ‘Deep State’, which tracks and publishes reports on the Ukrainian front line, analyzed that in recent days, Russian forces have advanced at least 10 km northward in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. Finnish military intelligence analyst Pasi Paroinen also posted on X (formerly Twitter) that in the past three days, Russia has broken through the Ukrainian front line and penetrated about 17 km north of the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. Experts believe that since President Trump mentioned the ‘land swap’ as a condition for a ceasefire in Ukraine, Russia might demand the relinquishment of the Donetsk region from Ukraine.

Analyst Paroinen stated, “It is crucial whether Ukraine can control the situation with the Russian infiltrators in the next 24-48 hours.”
