During his visit to the United States, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned that there has been progress in negotiations with Hamas regarding the release of hostages.
Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that during the meeting with American-Israeli families of hostages in Washington D.C. on the 22nd local time, the negotiation conditions are “undoubtedly maturing” and that “this is a good sign.”
He also said, “There is another signal that the enemy’s morale is beginning to break, and we are witnessing some changes, and these changes will only grow larger,” emphasizing that “if Israel stands firm, an agreement can be reached.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu mentioned that “Unfortunately, this process does not happen all at once. There are steps,” but also expressed confidence that “we can maintain pressure to advance negotiations and release the remaining hostages.”
However, he also emphasized that “under no circumstances will we give up victory over Hamas,” warning that “if we give up, we will be at risk due to Iran’s ‘axis of evil.'”
