Trump, the President of the United States, announced that the anti-fascism and anti-racism movement ‘Antifa’ will be designated as a domestic terrorist organization.
Trump and his associates had warned of an all-out war with leftist groups following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a right-wing youth activist, which led to this action.
President Trump shared on his social media, “I am pleased to inform many American patriots that the radical left-wing disaster Antifa is designated as a major terrorist organization.”
He further stated, “I will also strongly recommend a thorough investigation of those funding Antifa according to the highest standards of the law.”
There was also an incident where a broadcast program criticizing ‘MAGA’ related to Kirk’s assassination was suspended.
ABC America announced the indefinite suspension of its flagship late-night talk show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ after Kimmel’s remarks about the Kirk assassination.
On the show’s February 15th broadcast, Kimmel said, “The MAGA group is desperately trying to define the child killed by Kirk as someone different from them, doing everything possible to derive political gain from it.”
He also mocked President Trump’s remarks commemorating Kirk, comparing it to a “four-year-old mourning a lost goldfish.”
Reacting swiftly to the show’s suspension, President Trump commented on his social media, “Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what should be done. Kimmel has no talent.”
