China conducts anti-dumping investigation on U.S. semiconductors in response to U.S. sanctions.

In response to the U.S. government’s decision to add Chinese companies to its sanctions list, China has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into U.S.-made analog chips.

On the 13th, China’s Ministry of Commerce announced the commencement of this anti-dumping investigation and stated that it will also conduct an anti-discrimination investigation into the U.S. measures against China related to integrated circuits.

The Ministry of Commerce explained, “According to China’s Foreign Trade Law, if discriminatory prohibitions or restrictions are imposed on China, we can take corresponding measures,” adding, “The U.S.’s actions concerning the IC sector against China are consistent with such circumstances.”

Furthermore, the Ministry of Commerce referred to upcoming trade negotiations to be held in Spain on the 14th and urged the U.S. to “stop the unreasonable pressure.”
