A magnitude 5.5 earthquake hits the Tokara Islands in Japan… “1,500 times in half a month”

In Japan, as the “July Great Earthquake Theory” gains attention, earthquakes with magnitudes around 5 have continued to occur. The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that at around 2:07 PM, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture. Following this, a magnitude 4.9 earthquake occurred six minutes earlier at 2:01 PM, and aftershocks have been occurring intermittently.

The Japan Meteorological Agency explained that from the 21st of last month until 3 PM today, there have been 1,500 earthquakes with a seismic intensity of 1 or higher near the Tokara Islands. Although the swarm of earthquakes in the Tokara Islands does not cause significant damage like a major earthquake, they are garnering significant attention due to the “July Great Earthquake Theory.”

The Japanese government is responding to the spread of anxiety due to unfounded predictions, stating that “it is difficult with the current level of science to predict the time and place of an earthquake.”
