A, who regularly buys lottery tickets, shared that it was an unforgettable experience: “One day, I had a vivid dream where Yoo Jae-suk rescued me as I was drifting away in dirty water,” A recalled. “To my surprise, the winning message appeared. It was hard to tell if it was a dream or reality because I was so happy,” A shared about the unbelievable moment. Immediately after confirming the win, A shared the news first with their daughter-in-law, and after cross-verifying with a QR code, they realized they were the recipient of 500 million won.
For A’s family, who were struggling financially, this win was a significant help. A said, “Our household situation has been difficult lately, but thanks to this win, I feel like a burden has been lifted,” expressing plans to pay off loans and secure a new home for the family with the prize money.
Interestingly, this ‘miracle of Yoo Jae-suk’ is not the first. In 2023, another winner shared, “My eldest had a dream featuring Yoo Jae-suk,” and announced their first-place win. That winner also mentioned gifting electronic devices to their children with the prize, sparking envy. The Speeto 1000 lottery that brought miracles to these individuals is a scratch-off type available for 1,000 won, with each round selecting 11 first-place winners.
Debuting in 1991 through the first KBS College Comedy Festival, Yoo Jae-suk is a comedian with a career spanning 30 years. Though he spent about a decade in obscurity early in his career, he rose to prominence with shows like MBC’s ‘Infinite Challenge’ and KBS’s ‘Happy Together,’ eventually becoming Korea’s National MC. Yoo Jae-suk holds the record for the most entertainment awards, winning 19 in total over 12 consecutive years.
