[Sports Chosun Reporter Kim Soo-hyun] Comedian Kim Ji-yoo shocked everyone with her home’s devastating sanitary and cleaning conditions.
On the April 19 episode of SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling,” Kim Ji-yoo’s “horror house” was revealed.
Eom Ji-yoon, who was invited to Kim Ji-yoo’s house along with Han Hye-jin, mentioned, “Ji-yoo’s house is famously dirty,” but Kim Ji-yoo retorted, “Everyone lives like this.”
Eom Ji-yoon said, “You live a bit freely while Hye-jin manages everything, so I thought it would be good for you to get a consultation.”
Han Hye-jin, who quickly scanned Kim Ji-yoo’s home, remarked, “It’s an interesting house. For starters, the rice cooker is on the floor.”
The sweet potatoes in the box were so dried out that mold was growing on them. Han Hye-jin joked, “If you dry them a bit more, you could make sweet potato chips.”
Kim Ji-yoo, noting, “I need to offer something, even if it’s just bottled water,” opened the refrigerator, which left everyone in shock.
Inside was a chaos of half-eaten sauces, spilled food, and rotting fruits and vegetables. Seo Jang-hoon lamented, “It’s used like a trash can, not a refrigerator.”
When Eom Ji-yoon tried to toss out some chicken, Kim Ji-yoo insisted, “You can eat that,” although its condition suggested otherwise.
Han Hye-jin advised, “This really needs to be thrown away. You have to eat deliveries quickly because they can’t be completely sealed,” and started cleaning the fridge, though she frowned deeply at the task.
Deep inside the fridge, there was a rotting pig’s trotters covered in yellow mold. Kim Ji-yoo lamented, “I really meant to eat this.”
The rice bin was crawling with weevils. Kim Ji-yoo tried to explain, “This is something I put out intending to throw away,” but Han Hye-jin declined her offer of water as well.
Noticing nose hair on the couch, Han Hye-jin speculated, “Honestly, do men come around? This is evidence of men coming around,” although it turned out to be eyelashes. Eom Ji-yoon quipped, “She’s just a human mold.”
Eventually, Eom Ji-yoon was choked with shock, and Kim Ji-yoo attempted to give her water but met with resistance.
Kim Ji-yoo stated, “We shouldn’t keep exaggerating like this. You’ll really think I’m this dirty.” However, Eom Ji-yoon countered, “It’s not a misunderstanding; it’s ‘oh my god.'”
When discussing the “longest period without washing their hair,” Kim Ji-yoo admitted, “I’ve gone 5 or 6 days without washing it,” but Han Hye-jin shook her head, saying, “No way.”
Asked if her boyfriend ever complained about her unwashed hair, Kim Ji-yoo replied, “Even when dating, I wouldn’t wash my hair and just wore a cap. But washing caps is also a hassle, so I just leave them as they are.”
