[Naver’s Update on Naver Map]
On March 14, Naver announced that it has enhanced the navigation and ‘driving analysis’ features in the Naver Map app through a recent update. This update started rolling out sequentially from March 9 and users can access the new features by updating the Naver Map app to the latest version.
Firstly, the Naver Map navigation system has improved to provide additional information about destinations to enhance driver convenience. If there is no parking available at the chosen destination, the app will inform drivers in advance and allow them to easily and quickly search for nearby parking facilities. It also allows users to check parking fees and make reservations and payments all at once.
Additionally, a new feature provides advance information on whether the destination will be open or closed upon arrival, factoring in the estimated arrival time. This helps reduce unnecessary travel by warning drivers if the destination is expected to be closed, have break times, or be on a holiday.
The ‘driving analysis’ page, where drivers can assess their driving habits, has also been improved. With this update, users can view changes in their driving scores with weekly and monthly graphs. Furthermore, users who drive more than 10 km in the past 4 weeks using Naver Map navigation can compare their driving scores and habits with the averages of other drivers.
