The article discusses how Tomato System supplied the UI/UX development platform ‘XBuilder6’ for the AI digital textbook learning data collection and utilization system project by the Korea Education & Research Information Service. This project is part of the Ministry of Education’s digital education innovation initiative to digitize traditional textbooks. The AI digital textbooks utilize AI technology and voice recognition to assess academic levels and provide personalized learning environments by effectively collecting and analyzing student-specific learning data. XBuilder6 enhances user convenience and data utilization by visualizing information learned from the AI digital textbooks in graphs, charts, and tables on an integrated dashboard for students, teachers, and parents.
XBuilder6 offers optimized screens for UI development with features such as full WYSIWYG layout, code autocompletion, and responsive web support. It maximizes development productivity by providing custom controls, common modules to solve complex screen development and repetitive tasks. It is equipped with the latest screen rendering technology, streaming data reception method, and pre-compilation for maximizing screen performance in terms of stability and efficiency.
The CEO of Tomato System, Lee Sang-don, expressed that XBuilder6 will play a crucial role in leading the innovation of AI digital textbooks. The Ministry of Education plans to implement AI digital textbooks for specific subjects and grades starting from the first semester of 2025 and expand to all subjects for elementary school students by 2028. XBuilder6 has been adopted as a standard UI/UX development tool in various government and public projects, contributing to the establishment of standard systems in accordance with the government’s no-plugin policy. It has been used in public projects such as Sports Toto, National Heritage Administration, Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Education & Research Information Service, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Board of Audit and Inspection, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Health Insurance Service, Korea Education Facilities Safety Agency, and Korea Rural Community Corporation.
