Samsung Electronics unveiled the “Galaxy S25 FE” at IFA 2025, held from September 5 to 9 in Berlin, Germany, and began sales in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is set to be released in Korea on September 19.
The Galaxy S25 FE is designed as an affordable model that allows users to experience the key features of the Galaxy S25 series. It comes equipped with an optimized Galaxy AI based on One UI 8, enabling more intuitive multimodal interactions through various inputs such as touch, voice, and vision.
The mobile application processor (AP), acting as the smartphone’s ‘brain’, incorporates Samsung Electronics’ Exynos 2400, previously used in the Galaxy S24. The front camera of the FE series boasts a 12-megapixel sensor for the first time, providing more vivid selfies and low-light noise reduction with a ‘low-noise mode’. Supports for super HDR in video for realistic colors and contrast are also included for the first time in the FE series.
The vapor chamber, which prevents overheating, has been increased by about 10% compared to its predecessor, enhancing thermal control. The battery capacity is 4900mAh, allowing for extended usage.
The device features a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth transitions and immersive viewing. Its frame is fortified with “Armor Aluminum” for added durability. The phone is available in four colors: navy, ice blue, jet black, and white, with pricing to be announced.
Users can utilize ‘Gemini Live’ for voice interactions, allowing immediate responses without needing to open multiple apps. With the ‘Galaxy Buds3 FE’, which launches in Korea on September 19, users can access Gemini even when the phone is in their pocket. The buds also support real-time translation for conversations or foreign language content.
Samsung has also introduced a new security solution named ‘KEEP’, which creates different encryption keys for different apps within the secure storage area of the device, ensuring that encrypted information is individually protected and only accessible by the app that owns it.
Starting with the Galaxy S25 series, One UI 8, which offers the latest Galaxy AI experience, will be globally updated from September.
Moreover, the “Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra”, featuring the first 3nm processor in the Galaxy Tab series, was unveiled on the same day, along with the “Galaxy Tab S11”.
