Samsung SDS Presents Digital Innovation Strategy for Manufacturing Industry at ‘Industry Day’

On April 16, Samsung SDS held the “Samsung SDS Industry Day” where they introduced generative AI technology and manufacturing-specialized solutions, sharing related expertise. The event, titled “Preparing for the Future of Manufacturing,” took place at the Jamsil Sky 31 Convention and outlined directions for digital innovation in manufacturing.

Approximately 300 IT managers from manufacturing companies attended the seminar, showing significant interest in various digital transformation cases of Samsung SDS, including AI agents, manufacturing ERP innovation, Private 5G-based field innovation, and AI-based digital procurement (SRM).

Samsung SDS shared real-world applications of manufacturing-specialized solutions such as generative AI, ERP, MES, PLM, and OT security, promoting a hyperautomation strategy. They highlighted AI agents as a core technology of hyperautomation and presented real application cases in manufacturing settings.

The event also emphasized the increasing security threats in manufacturing due to the spread of smart factories and the expansion of IoT and 5G networks. Samsung SDS introduced OT security strategies and cyberattack response measures to protect 24/7 operating production facilities, explaining the importance of security solutions.

Additionally, Samsung SDS shared overseas IT development and operation cases through the Global Development Center, stating that they apply the same level of quality and security standards in countries like China, Vietnam, and India as they do domestically.

Lee Jeong-heon, Head of Strategy Marketing at Samsung SDS, stated, “Samsung SDS Industry Day is an event prepared to share concerns and propose solutions regarding the use of generative AI and hyperautomation strategies.”
