(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Cho Sung-mi: Quantum computing company Norma announced on the 2nd that it has signed a business agreement with Maybell Quantum, a U.S. quantum computer infrastructure company, to collaborate on the introduction of integrated quantum computing systems in South Korea.
Norma will focus on introducing Maybell Quantum’s integrated quantum computing system, which includes cryogenic cooling systems, into the domestic quantum market. Maybell Quantum plans to enhance technical support to ensure compatibility of its Quantum Processor Unit (QPU) and control devices with Norma’s Quantum Factory system.
Founded in 2021 in Denver, Colorado, Maybell Quantum recently raised $25 million in a Series A investment round. The company is concentrating on expanding the production scale of dilution refrigerators for cooling superconducting qubits. These cooling systems maintain the operational temperature of quantum chips and block external noise to provide a stable quantum computing environment.
Established in 2011, Norma is a company that develops quantum security solutions using Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) technology as well as quantum computers and applications.
Recently, Norma launched the ‘Q Platform,’ which offers a quantum application development environment, and is preparing to release ‘Curion,’ the first industrial quantum computer in South Korea.
