Nexon (co-CEOs Dae-Hyun Kang and Jeong-Wook Kim) announced that the offline event “2025 Dungeon & Fighter Festival” for the online action game “Dungeon & Fighter” (hereinafter “Dunpa”) concluded successfully, with enthusiastic responses from about 10,000 adventurers. The festival took place on November 22 and 23 at Ilsan Kintex, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the game with its largest-ever scale. Tickets for the event sold out rapidly, with day one tickets selling out in one minute and day two tickets in just 45 seconds, showcasing the high interest from fans celebrating the 20th anniversary.
The event was packed with around 10,000 adventurers, creating long lines of people waiting to enter from early in the morning. Upon entry, attendees engaged with various exhibitions and experiential content, receiving a warm response from the audience. In the exhibition and event spaces set up in halls 10 and 7A, visitors participated in activities such as a stamp tour, mini-games, and photo zones, feeling both the legacy of “Dunpa” over 20 years and its current popularity.
The stage featured interactive events such as a 20th-anniversary talk show with commentators Jeong-Jun and caster Seung-Heon Seong, a prize event with “Dunpa” ambassador Bokyeom, and user-participatory mini-game tournaments, all contributing to an elevated atmosphere. Hall 10 was a designated space featuring beloved content from the past 20 years along with current favorites that fans enjoy. Meanwhile, “History of ARAD” was structured to naturally revisit the game’s history through major update records and an OST listening zone.
On another side, the representative secondary creation event “Playmarket Season 7” was held, where user creators and fans voluntarily participated, interacting and sharing their love for the game. The merchandise shop, where attendees could purchase specially designed 20th-anniversary goods, also maintained a steady flow of visitors.
In hall 7A, a space was designed to showcase “Dunpa”‘s expanded reach beyond gaming, covering art, music, and lifestyle under the “DNF IP.” Programs like “DNF EX RECORDS” for reinterpreted OSTs, the “DNF Webtoon” with congratulatory works from popular webcomic creators and artists, and “Kazahn” and “DNF DUEL” based mini-games and interaction experiences were all featured, demonstrating the broad cultural impact of the “Dunpa” IP.
The climax of day one was the winter update showcase, which unveiled the “Apostle Diregie,” the top-tier raid debuting on December 4, along with the fifth job advancement for the Female Priest, the 18th new character “Imperial Knight,” the new region “Chunhaecheon,” and plans for a 20th-anniversary winter event. Enthusiastic cheers and applause erupted with each new update announcement. Neople’s CEO Myung-Jin Yoon made a surprise appearance, expressing gratitude to the adventurers for 20 years of support and vowing to continue providing excellent service, further heightening the excitement.
The festival concluded with the “20th Anniversary Concert,” bringing an immersive experience to all present. The first part featured the “DNF Band” performing live music, playing tracks ingrained in adventurers’ memories like “Mirkwood,” “Grakaarak,” and “Tower of Death.” In the third part, the spotlight turned to songs that have illuminated “Dunpa”’s history, wrapping up the final page of the 20th-anniversary festival on a grand and memorable note.
