The National Policy Council will hold its first working-level meeting tomorrow… It seems they will coordinate on public livelihood bills and supplementary budgets.

(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporters Ryu Mina and Park Kyung-jun: The government, ruling, and opposition parties will hold their first working-level meeting on the 9th at the National Assembly to discuss the future schedule and agenda of the “National Policy Consultation Body.”

Attending the working-level meeting will be Kim Sang-hoon, the policy chief of the People Power Party, Kang Myung-gu, chief secretary to the representative, Jin Sung-joon, policy chief of the Democratic Party, Lee Hae-sik, chief secretary to the representative, Bang Gi-sun, head of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, and Cho Os-seop, chief secretary to the Speaker of the National Assembly, according to party officials from both sides on the 8th.

The ruling party is expected to prioritize the handling of livelihood-related bills, while the opposition party is likely to demand the allocation of an additional supplementary budget first.

Earlier, the ruling and opposition parties agreed to determine the agenda to be presented to the National Policy Consultation Body through working-level meetings.

Once the agenda is coordinated at the working level, the consultation body will officially launch under the guidance of National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik, party leaders from both sides, and Choi Sang-mok, the acting President and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance. Subsequently, the detailed discussions will continue between the floor leaders of the ruling and opposition parties.
