The approval rating of the ruling Democratic Party has exceeded 30% for 10 consecutive weeks, with the opposition People Power Party at 35.9% and the Democratic Party at 35.4%.

The results of a survey conducted on June 2nd week showed that President Yoon Suk-yeol’s approval rating has remained in the early 30% range for 10 consecutive weeks, with a positive evaluation of his national management performance at 30.1%, a decrease of 1.4 percentage points from the previous week, and a negative evaluation at 66.0%, an increase of 0.9 percentage points.

There has been little significant fluctuation in President Yoon’s approval rating since recording 37.3% in the first week of April, with slight fluctuations in the early 30% range.

By region, approval ratings rose in Gwangju-Jeonnam (up 2.9%), while they decreased in Incheon-Gyeonggi (down 2.3%), Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (down 2.0%), Daejeon-Sejong-Chungcheong (down 1.7%), and Daegu-Gyeongbuk (down 1.1%). Except for the 50s age group (up 1.6%), approval ratings declined in all other age groups.

In terms of ideological tendencies, support decreased among conservative voters (down 3.7%) and moderate voters (down 2.6%).

In a party support survey conducted from June 13 to 14 on 1,100 people over the age of 18 nationwide, the approval rating for the conservative People Power Party was 35.9% and the ruling Democratic Party of Korea was 35.4%. Compared to the previous week’s survey, the People Power Party increased by 1.4 percentage points, while the Democratic Party decreased by 0.2 percentage points.

Other party support percentages were as follows: Justice Party 13.2%, New Reform Party 4.9%, New Future Party 1.5%, Progressive Party 1.5%, and other parties 1.5%. The non-party affiliated group was 6.2%.

The presidential national management evaluation survey was conducted using a 97% mobile and 3% landline automated response method with a response rate of 2.8%.
