Police Chief nominee George Ho will undergo a confirmation hearing at the National Assembly on the 29th.

The National Assembly’s Public Administration and Security Committee has decided to hold a confirmation hearing for the Commissioner General of the Korean National Police Agency, Jo Ge-ho, in a full session to be held on the 29th.

Both ruling and opposition parties have adopted Noh Gyu-ho, former head of the investigation unit at the North Gyeongsang Provincial Police Agency, as a witness to inquire into the process of retrieving records of the incident that led to the death of Private First Class Che Su-byeong during his service.

In addition, witnesses such as Lee Won-mo, former presidential secretary in charge of police personnel verification, and Lee Jong-ho, a key figure in the stock price manipulation case involving Deutschemotors and former commander of the Marine Corps, have also been adopted for the hearing.
