Park Ji-won: “I can’t entrust the presidency to Yoon Seok-yeol for even one second, claiming he’s a madman.”

[Seoul=Newsis] Reporter Choi Hee-jung writes, on the 12th, Democratic Party lawmaker Park Ji-won stated, “We cannot entrust the role of commander-in-chief to a madman, even for a second.”

On this day, as President Yoon Suk-yeol’s recorded public address was broadcast in the morning, Representative Park posted on Facebook, saying, “Yoon Suk-yeol is still crazy.”

Representative Park raised his voice, urging the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials and the police to “immediately arrest the traitor Yoon Suk-yeol.”

In his address to the nation, President Yoon asserted, “The emergency measures that I, as president, have instituted are not intended to disrupt the constitutional order and the foundation of the nation, but rather to alert the public to a crisis threatening our nation in order to protect and restore the constitutional order and national foundation.”

He continued, “I sought to defend South Korea’s liberal democracy and constitutional order against the parliamentary dictatorship of a huge opposition party, which, with overwhelming strength, is relentlessly enacting legislative tyranny and solely focused on self-preservation.”

He further stated, “In the catastrophic emergency situation that is paralyzing the government, the emergency martial law measures exercised through the president’s legal authority are a result of the president’s high-level political judgment to defend the country and normalize government affairs. I will fight until the end.”
