The Democratic Party has emphasized that “November will be the month for progressing the ‘Kim Kun-hee Special Prosecutor Act’ in the National Assembly.” Democratic Party floor leader Park Chan-dae held a press briefing today, stating that the final conclusion of the 22nd National Assembly’s first inspection is to indeed push forward with the ‘Special Prosecutor for First Lady Kim Kun-hee.’ He asserted that the special prosecutor is the shortcut to setting right a broken Korea.
He addressed the People Power Party, mentioning that there are about ten days left until the National Assembly plenary session on the 14th. He emphasized that the Democratic Party is open to everything related to the ‘Kim Kun-hee Special Prosecutor Act,’ including its content, format, and what the ruling party claims to be ‘poison pill provisions.’
Floor leader Park specifically addressed Han Dong-hoon, the representative of the People Power Party, saying, “We are waiting for Representative Han’s decision, asking him to join us,” and added, “After the release of the recorded conversations between President Yoon and Mr. Myung Tae-kyun, the special inspector has become a dead card, and only the special prosecutor is the answer.”
